Pets and Pumpkins is this Saturday!

Pets and Pumpkins is this Sat Oct 24 from 2-6. It is filled with tons of stuff to do for kids and pets. Activities include: a Trackless Train, Costume Parade/Contest, miniature ponies, smore's, and an off-leash play area and much much more!

Chicago was GREAT!

Brooke, Connie & Stephanie returned from the Chicago trade show yesterday with lots of great information for upcoming publications of TAME. There were tons of vendors and very interesting products!

Our Newest Foster

Meet Rae Bear! Rae is probably one of the cutest and sweetest dogs ON THE PLANET!! I do not exaggerate!! We are certain everyone will want her, but there is one family that is the perfect one for her and for them. We plan to find it. In the meantime, we just wanted to share this little angel with our TAME friends.

Fall TAME is distributed across SW Missouri

We have been hard at work distributing the fall issue of TAME all over SW Missouri. We are so thrilled by the reception the magazine always gets and this issue is no exception. DogFest Rocks!

We had such a blast a DogFest on Saturday. It was fun meeting everyone and handing out magazines. We had several entries into the kids art contest as well. We will have a least one winner from Saturday's event featured in the Ask Allye section of TAME in the upcoming issue.

Samantha Sunshine has a new home

We are so thankful for our network of friends who help us find homes for the rescues who find us! Samantha found a home in Willard thanks to Three Dog Bakery who posted her picture in the store. Sam now has 2 boys and a another dog to play with. Thank you so much to everyone who spread the word. You really DO make a difference!

Urban Pet Shots - preparation for session tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a BIG day for TAME staffers. We will be photographed with some very special pets available for adoption in our community. The plan is to do "urban pet shots". Here's a sampling of ideas we are considering. Thanks Steph & Coco for "modeling"!

Pupcake Day! mmmm

Who wants a pupcake? The TAME dogs do! Three Dog Bakery celebrated their corporate anniversary with free pupcakes today. Thank you Susan (and Ashley - Susan's daughter). The dogs absolutely LOVED them! Lilly Bella couldn't wait to leave the store to eat hers. Chacho enjoyed his back at the TAME office. mmmmmm

You might remember this sweet puppy from a previous issue of TAME. Thank you Donnie Rodgers for emailing this photo of Jack enjoying an afternoon with our newest foster, Samantha.
TAME readers first met Jack & Donnie in the Spring Issue of TAME. Their story was in the Tails with a Happy Ending section. Jack was featured with his sister, Ember.
Donnie brought Jack to play with Sam in a special play area behind the TAME office on Commercial Street. As you can see Jack is definitely a water baby!

Meet Samantha Sunshine

TAME has a new foster girl. Meet Samantha Sunshine. When she was rescued, she was terribly skinny and had lots of sores and scratches. She is responding to love and care and is healing and gaining weight. We think she is a lab/dane mix. She's going to be a BIG girl. We estimate her to be about 70lbs now and to be about a year to 1 1/2 years old. She will be ready for a forever home soon, so share information about her with anyone you know who would like to have her in their family.

Lilly Bella learns to Kayak

Lilly loves camping. Last weekend we took her with some friends of ours to the Buffalo River. She got a chance that many 4lb poodles never get - to kayak! After securing her safely into her pink, polka dotted life jacket she was ready to go. Ron Walker - who builds custom wood kayaks - gave Lilly Bella a ride in his latest creation - the spot in back was perfect for holding a small dog so they can ride along and enjoy the view. Thanks Ron!

When Lilly Bella turned 1, Allye made pink and black cupcakes and arranged them in the shape of a poodle. Everyone in the office ate cupcakes and sang happy birthday to her. Lilly enjoyed her own special doggie treats.

Sadly, I can't find the picture of the party, but it was really cute.

Coco Chanel joins the TAME family

Putting for Pups will always be a memorable event for two individuals at TAME. One is Steph and the other is her new baby, Coco Chanel. It only took 2 minutes for Steph to fall in love with this adorably unique 6 month old Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix. After the event, Steph brought Chacho - her first dog - to Canines and Cats Adoption Center where Coco Chanel was currently living. She wanted to see how Chacho would feel about having a baby sister. They got along right away and make such cute pair of fur-kids. As for the rest of us at TAME, it's so fun to have a new baby at the office.

Putting for Pups on Saturday

Where you find pets, people and fun you will most likely see the TAME team! None of us want to miss out on the fun where pets are concerned. This weekend is no exception. We plan to be at Blue Sky Feed in Ozark to enjoy the FUNdraiser they are hosting with the Killuminati Foundation from 10-2. The event is called Putt for Pups and a prize is on the table worth $500!!!

Adoptable dogs will also be at the event. Come show your support, love on the pups and maybe go home with some serious CASH!

Hogs for Dogs

TAME was on hand to take pictures and meet really cool dog lovers at Hogs for Dogs on July 12. This event raised over $7000 for CARE, an area rescue shelter. Thank you Denny's Harley Davidson for hosting this annual event and helping those who can't help themselves. You rock!

Hard Hat Party

We were excited to be invited to the SW Missouri Humane Society's Hard Hat Party recently. The new facility is really nice and will be able to handle a lot more dogs & cats than the old one. Thanks for the invite!!
